Reunion

Mike Greene went home to be with the Lord and Lindsey at 7:15 pm on January 21. Please continue to pray for us as we deal with so many emotions, desires, decisions, and explanations. Cadence is excited for Grandpa and a little jealous. We truly feel God's grace carrying us.

Laura,
You probably don't remember me, but I'm Sandra Staples Herriage. We were at Faith in Mattawan when I was little and your dad was the pastor. I also had the opportunity to travel in a singing group under your sister at NBBC. We heard about your dad's cancer and have been praying for you. We'd like to get an address to send a card to...can you email me at sandranmike03@hotmail.com to give me a good mailing address? I found your blog through Andrea Stephens, a friend of Jenny Muth, a friend of mine.

I apologize if you get this twice, but it didn't seem to go through the first time...
My name is Sandra Staples Herriage and my family used to be at Faith of Mattawan when I was little. I also had the opportunity to sing on a traveling team under Cheryl at NBBC. We'd heard about your dad's cancer and have been praying for all of you. We'd also like to send a card. Would you mind emailing me at sandranmike03@hotmail.com to give me a good address? I found your blog through Andrea Stephens, through Jenny Muth, a friend of mine.

Ps 147:3, "He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds." When having devotions in 1990, this verse popped off the page. I asked the Lord why he was showing it to me so strongly, since I did not have a broken heart. A few days later, my Pop Pop (who was my father to me) died. In the great grief moments after I found out, the Lord cleared my mind in an instant and brought that verse to memory. I thank(ed) the Lord that He was so loving to prepare me before I even knew what the future held.

Praying for you guys, Paul & Cheryl Erickson

Laura,
We are praying for your family during these dark hours. I had the opportunity to attend Lindsay's funeral, but did not get a chance to talk to you. It was a wonderful experience to be in that service and see God's name uplifted and glorified. I am praying for your family especially today. Andrea and Kris also send their prayers.

Laura,
I commented on a post of yours a few months ago. Again, I have never met you personally but I have been so burdened to pray for you and your family. Your testimony of thanks and praise to God in such times of sadness is proof that you have a strong faith in God and take Him at His word.
May the name of the Lord be glorified through your life and the lives of your family. I will continue to lift you up in my prayers and do the little that I can to help "bear your burdens".
Sincerely,
Rachel (Reno) Feehan

Laura,

I received the news of your dad's homegoing this week. You have continually been in my prayers and will be for a long time to come. Thank you for your testimony through all that you have and are going through. Only God gives the supernatural strength and ability to keep "doing the next thing." Continue to cling to Him and find rest in His love and care for you. A song that has gone through my head all week as I pray for you and has encouraged Kris and me through the trials is "By the Gentle Waters." I am going to try to post the words on my blog soon. Isaiah 26:3 has also been a reminder to us to keep looking to God, and the peace will come.

Love and prayers,

Andrea
