Lindsey's Homegoing

As many of you know, Lindsey went to be with her Heavenly Father on November 7th, 2006. She was at a birthday party with friends from school and her heart failed. Although the pain is very real and overwhelming at times we feel the prayers of literally hundreds of people praying. We rest in the fact that God is love. When he gave us Lindsey, it was God demonstrating His love for us. When he took Lindsey, we rely on the knowledge and faith that God did it because He is love, and whatever He does is love.
My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalms 73:26
The following is the program from Lindsey's funeral. If you double click on the image you can see it better.

Laura, I've just sent a card to you but saw your post and wanted to comment here anyway. You have daily been in my prayers and will continue to be for days and days to come. Friends at Grace, Jennifer Becker, and my family have all kept me up to date on all that has gone on with you guys over this last week. I am so sorry for your loss! Lindsey was a precious little girl. Thank you for your testimony and focus on our Lord's sovereignty. God is always good. These truths have sustained us through several losses over the last few years, especially Kris' dad's death and those circumstances. We often just struggle with our comprehending and coming to grips with losses like that as well as your loss of Lindsey. Praise God for His supernatural grace and strength He gives when we are going through trials and the healing we find in bathing ourselves in Scripture and being surrounded by the family of God. May you daily sense God's presence and love for you as well as the love and prayers from those of us who care for you all as you continue to face difficult days ahead.

Because of Him,

Andrea
