Another Month
On the 7th of every month we can't help but to dwell on what happened on November 7, 2006. There is something about yet another month going by without our precious daughter. It still seems unreal that she is gone and has been for 21months. We are getting further and further away from a life that included her. That is difficult to manage. Right now we have such a wide range of emotions, we are so overjoyed by the birth of beautiful Selah and are so excited for Cadence as she is about to begin school, and yet we still have such a heartache that cannot be expressed over missing Lindsey. How does one deal with such a wide spread of emotions? Well, for one, lots and lots of tears, mixed with cries out to God for strength. We recently heard a wonderful message about how God is near to the brokenhearted. It was a great reminder that we are not alone for in Isaiah 61:1 it says that He has come to heal the brokenhearted. So that is how we handle such a time, we look to the Lord God and cry to Him for He and He alone will heal our hearts!

I woke up this morning completely aware that it was - again - the 7th of the month. I can't tell you how many times today I thought of Lindsey. Know that we actively remember her and talk about her. Even today - Grandma Greene walked into my kitchen and Petra pointed at her Lindsey t-shirt and said "ah, ah," Grandma said, "Yes, Petra. That is Lindsey. This is Lindsey day." We love her and miss her. We know God is glorified. We will continue to pray for your heart-ache. Love - Aunt Becky
Laura,
I came across your blog through the BJU GoMeetingPoint site. I knew about your little Lindsey's homegoing some time ago, but reading your recent posting, I can tell the memories are still fresh. I have two little girls and a baby boy, and I can only wild-guess the pain you must still feel. You're in my prayers tonight. God is always good.

We have been out of town and I just saw this post. I am always so happy to see another picture of Lindsey. We miss her too.
