Scripture for today...

I Peter 1:6-8

So be truly glad.
There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold though your faith is far more precious than mere gold.
So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him: and you rejoice with a glorious , inexpressible joy.
The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.

Later in the same chapter is says:
Its is all so wonderful that even the angels are eagerly watching these things to happen.
So maybe Lindsey is eagerly watching as well. I can't say that I am always "glad" as the beginning of the verse states, but I am glad about the coming of Christ and the glorious eternity that is coming. We are amazed that we have come almost a year since Lindsey's going to heaven. We are not sure what to do on November 7, pray that God will lead us as we seek to celebrate Lindsey life.

This is a beautiful passage and one I've always loved. Yet--as in the case of so many other things since last Nov 7--this takes on even more meaning when seen through your eyes.

We love you and will be praying for you as this month rolls along and the year mark nears. We will be celebrating Lindsey here in Texas on that day.
