April 4th, Lindsey's Birthday

Writing this entry is very difficult because I want to put a picture of Lindsey blowing out her six candles celebrating her birthday, but I can't. Instead I can tell you that on the one day that was all about her we missed her dearly.

In the morning my sister Rebecca and 2 friends, Sara and Andrea came over with their children to have a "We Love Lindsey Lunch". They brought cards and flowers and food all to show their love for Lindsey. At one point the children (without any prompting) starting singing Happy Birthday to Lindsey. They would call out to her in heaven and say, "Can you hear us Lindsey", (talk about having to keep your composure).

After lunch Cadence and I picked up Jason from work and went to the mountains in North Carolina to play some golf. Lindsey loved to play golf and playing as a family has always been a fun, relaxing way to enjoy being together. Before we left we hiked to our favorite spot, a waterfall where we had cookies, and Cadence let go of some balloons for Lindsey.

We thank God for the 5 1/2 years that we had Lindsey. She is a beautiful child and we will continue to make her a special part of our family no matter how many years we celebrate her birthday without her. We look forward to the glorious day when we will live forever with Lindsey and the One who created her.
